Welcome Back!

Image
Welcome back! Tuesday was all about getting back into the routine of things but who am I kidding? We didn't need easing back into anything, these kiddos adjust easily and remember the routines beautifully! Here's a few pictures that didn't make it in the other blogs and just show the fun things we do every day!  Car line activities while we wait for friends!  Just lounging during rest time "Hashem is here, Hashem is there" We love to hold the Hebrew Alphabet! Dinosaur Land

Something the kiddos have talked about for weeks on end is Dinosaurs. They talk about how they've gone extinct, the feathers on their wings, how big they are. They describe them in distinct detail and it was time that we listened to these extraordinary kiddos and made a Dino Unit.... and that's exactly what we did. Welcome to Dino Land, the kiddos are exploring dinosaur fossil digs, drawing dinosaur eggs, learning to draw Dinosaurs, and building their own Jurassic Park throughout the classroom. This week we've started with making our Dino hatchlings and Dinosaur silhouette's in the Atelier. They've used the Dinosaur Small World toys as their table invitations, letting their Dinos stand on volcano's and are learning a few new words to describe different dinosaurs during circle time.  (Cutest little hatchlings)  Indiana Learning Foundations:APL2.1: Demonstrate development of flexible thinking skills during play,APL1.2: Demonstrate interest and curiosity as a lear...

Outside Hangin'

Image
It's that time again when we spend enormous amounts of time outside! The weather has been so nice and we soaked it all up. We spent time in the outdoor classroom, the playground and the grove! We played with the sand, hunted for ladybugs, pulled some dandelions, blew lots of bubbles and cooked sticky peas in the mud kitchen. Vitamin D has been soaked up and will continue to be for as long as possible!  Indiana Learning Foundations: SC5.1: Demonstrate scientific curiosity, SC3.1: Demonstrate awareness of life, SW1.1: Demonstrate self awareness and confidence, PHG1.2: Demonstrate development of safety practices

Three Days of Almond!

Image
Three days before Passover break... What a time for some child guided fun! We continued our exploration of Pesach of course but we also just let the kids drive everything we did, no time limits, no transitions, just kid guided exploring! We painted, we decorated our April Calendar, we read books, we got to see Bailey (sweet doggo) and we spent lots of time with our Fig friends in the Art Atelier and ate lunch with them, and last but never least.. Pj Day! What a time these three days have been. We are so lucky to get to spend every day with these kiddos and experience their smiles and laughs. Have the best break everyone, and enjoy these photos!  Big set of helpers this week! "Hashem is here, Hashem is there" I love how they filled this up so artistically!  I'm just here for moral support Self portraits with rainbows "It's a ladybug! Right there!" Miss Stacy found another ladybug for the kiddos inside the tulip stem.  Indiana Learning Foundations: ELA 1.3 De...
